Internships
The History Program at YSU holds a management agreement with the Ohio History Connection to operate the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor on a daily basis. This allows one the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both traditional research and applied fields.
Wuslich Scholarship Intern:
Currently held by undergraduate history major, Kelly Pesta
The Gary and Shirley Elias Wuslich History Scholarship supports students, whether graduate or undergraduate, and their work inside the museum. It provides students with a "practical learning experience in supporting the Youngstown Historical Center of Industry and Labor in continuing their mission of researching, learning and preserving the Mahoning Valley's rich industrial heritage."
This is the second year that Kelly has been working as the Wuslich Scholarship Intern at YHCIL. She is currently working from home due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has placed limits on our capacity to have students and staff in the building. Kelly is working on the Youngstown Sheet and Tube Bulletin Project.
